Cryotherapy
For warts, verrucas and other small benign skin lesions.
What is cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is a skin freezing treatment and involves use of Liquid Nitrogen. It is generally a safe and effective treatment for a list of skin conditions including: viral warts, small skin tags, small genital warts, verrucae and other skin lesions.
This is a common treatment used both in GP practices and hospitals for treatments of numerous skin conditions.
Warts and verrucae are sometimes difficult to get rid of with the use of topical treatments prescribed by your doctor or other over the counter treatment. Cryotherapy might be an options for you if other treatment options have failed to date.
Please note in some cases repeated treatments may be required at regular intervals for treatments of warts and verrucae, alongside other treatment options. In some cases the treatment is not always successful.
There is usually no downtime required and you can return to your daily activity soon after the treatment.
Your treatment will be carried out by Dr Patel following a consultation to discuss the nature of your problem and help you make an informed decision.
